GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA (September 21, 2026) Eight people learned the stories behind unique Grand Island businesses during Welcome In: Community Business Tours on September 16th.
Rural Prosperity Nebraska Extension Educator Sandra Barrera Fuentes led to tour, also hosted by Heartland United Way.
The event is part of Grand Island Welcoming Initiative’s Welcoming Week 2026.
Twelve businesses were featured. Another 11 were part of a tour that was ultimately cancelled due to lack of interest.
